About us

Who we are

We are a group of passionate parents, volunteers, and community members who believe that preserving our mother tongue and cultural identity is essential for the next generation.

Nepali Pathashala Geelong is a non-profit, volunteer-run community initiative formed by Nepali families in Geelong. We work together to preserve and pass on Nepali language, culture, and traditions to the next generation. Our goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where children can confidently speak Nepali, understand their heritage, and feel proud of their roots.

Through interactive classes, cultural celebrations, and community activities, we aim to strengthen connections among Nepali families while fostering respect, inclusion, and lifelong learning.

Our approach

Our Vision
We want to raise confident children thriving in Nepali language, culture, and values.

At Nepali Pathashala Geelong, we want to raise confident and compassionate children who are deeply connected to the Nepali language, culture, and values, while thriving in the diverse and multicultural society of Australia. We aspire to nurture a generation that embraces both their heritage and their Australian identity with pride and confidence.

Our Values

We believe in community and togetherness, working collaboratively to strengthen bonds among families. The safety and wellbeing of children are at the heart of everything we do, and we proudly promote cultural pride so children can celebrate and carry forward their Nepali heritage with confidence.
